We kept rebuilding the same foundations from scratch, choosing type scales, working out responsive spacing and checking colour contrast by hand before a project could properly take shape.
After a lot of testing, formula checks and live prototyping, we started building webspine as one place to shape the system before the interface. I worked through the typography, spacing and accessibility logic, then turned it into a live tool that generates practical fluid values, checks colour contrast and exports a setup the team can carry straight into a build.
A massive thank you to everyone at Wolf & Hat Studio who kept pressure-testing the maths, challenging the defaults and bringing real project constraints into the process, especially when a neat-looking formula did not actually hold up in the browser.
